Strange Times

Lockdown 2020 was a challenge for us all. At first, I took photos to find a way to process the sight of an empty metropolis. But gradually, I began to find tiny shoots of humanity in signage, in rainbow banners drawn by children isolating in apartments and through open windows… windows into the resilient souls of Londoners, into glimmers of light amid the darkness.

Two images from this series were selected for the Covid Street Book, a global photography project documenting the pandemic, featuring 300 photographers from across the world.
